Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you use CheckClause, we collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — email address when you sign up (directly or via Google OAuth).
• Uploaded documents — contract text you submit for analysis. Documents are processed in memory and are not stored permanently unless you are a registered user (in which case analysis results are saved to your account).
• Usage data — anonymous usage counts for guests (hashed IP + user-agent fingerprint, not personally identifiable).
• Payment data — handled entirely by our payment processor (Creem.io). We never see or store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To analyze contracts using AI and return results to you.
• To enforce usage limits (free tier / paid tier).
• To save your analysis history (registered users only).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. AI Processing

Your contract text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage

Account and analysis data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in EU — Frankfurt). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

5. Data Retention

• Guest fingerprints — automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Analysis history — retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
• Account deletion — email us and we will delete all your data within 7 days.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only (authentication session). No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data via the Dashboard.
• Request a copy of your data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
